Five Ways promotion in vet clinics

In March, Farmstrong began working in partnership with animal health pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim to promote the Five Ways to Wellbeing in the more than 200 veterinary clinics across the country.

Using Farmstrong content, Boehringer has produced large in-store displays promoting the Five Ways to Wellbeing, an accompanying print resource featuring Farmstrong ambassador Sam Whitelock, and a co-branded work shirt.

Boehringer is also sharing and promoting Farmstrong’s Toolbox Tips and other resources through its social media and comms channels.

Farmstrong ambassador Sam Whitelock says in the resource: “The Five Ways to Wellbeing can make a huge difference to your wellbeing whether you’re a farmer, grower or rural professional. Adopting regular habits has a positive, cumulative effect over time and keeps you in a good frame of mind.

“You could tick them all off by organising one enjoyable activity a week, like coaching kids’ sport, catching up with neighbours or attending a community event. The Five Ways definitely help to provide, balance, support and a sense of perspective when the going gets tough. I’ve made the Five Ways part of my life and I encourage you to do the same,” Sam says.

Farmstrong Programme Director Gerard Vaughan says it’s been great working with Boehringer.
“Right from our first meeting with Boehringer, after they approached us with this idea for this promotion, we knew we were on the same page, sharing the same values and outcomes we could achieve by working together.  David and Tom from Boehringer saw a real opportunity to take Farmstrong’s messages and tools to farmers through their established channels via rural vet practices.  They have been fantastic to work with on this”.
