Farming in the remote Chatham Islands has its own unique set of challenges, due in large part to its isolation.
Farmstrong and Dr Tom Mulholland recently travelled to the archipelago, located 860km east of Christchurch, to run a series of Healthy Thinking Workshops.
Watch local Chatham Island sheep and beef farmer Tony Anderson (pictured) talk about farming in such a remote region, the pros and cons, and how he stays on top of things.
He talks about his approach to dealing with the inevitable curve balls that come along.
“Enjoy the challenges… they’re not problems, they’re just continual challenges that have to be resolved,” he says.
