Farmstrong annual results show positive impact
Module Overview
Farmstrong’s annual results reveal it’s continuing to make a positive impact on the lives of farmers and growers.
The results and impact of Farmstrong are reflected in its annual monitor survey, which found that 23% of all farmers in New Zealand—around 20,000 farmers and growers—attributed an improvement in their wellbeing to engaging with Farmstrong.
The survey also found that 83% of those who engaged with Farmstrong attributed an improvement to their wellbeing – strong evidence of how well the programme is working for those who engage.
During the 12 month period from 1 July, 2024 to 30, June 2025, Farmstrong continued to engage with farmers and growers through multiple media, events and organisational channels. During this time Farmstrong:
- delivered 40 talks, workshops or webinars attended by 3,180 people
- featured in 358 media articles, reaching an audience of 3,561,524 people
- was present at 116 events
- hosted 48,696 sessions on the Farmstrong website from 38,747 visitors.
A particular highlight was celebrating Farmstrong’s 10-year anniversary at Mystery Creek Field Days in June.
This event also marked the launch of the new Farmstrong Toolbox which includes print resources, podcasts, AV content and simple tools.
People can also sign up to receive a simple and practical fortnightly wellbeing idea from the Toolbox, which includes an example of how a farmer or grower is applying it in their business and life.
Key to Farmstrong’s success has been the growing number of farmers and growers who champion and support the programme.
Building on such a solid foundation, one of Farmstrong’s goals in the next five-year strategy is to reach even more people, in particular more younger farmers, growers and farm workers.
