Chance for Younger Farmers and Farm Workers to Have Their Say

Farmstrong has developed a new online survey to better understand the pressures facing younger farmers and farm workers, and asking them what works to improve their wellbeing.

The survey is being undertaken in association with NZ Young Farmers, and is open for all under 35 year old farmers and farm workers.

We have developed two surveys, one for women and one for men. Most of the questions in the two surveys are similar, but there are some that are specific to men or women, such as the networks they belong to or the print magazines they read.

The survey is confidential and only takes about 10 minutes to complete.  It is open till 16 July 2018.

Men who are farmers and farm workers and aged under 35 can complete the survey here:

Women farmers and farm workers who are under 35 can complete the survey here:

Those who complete the survey will go in the draw to win one of three $100 Countdown vouchers.  If anyone reading this, male or female, has already completed a Farmstrong wellbeing survey in the last three months and also wants to be included in the draw, please email  using the heading “Prize” and your first name and we will also include you in the draw.

This a great opportunity for younger farmers and farm workers to make their voices heard.

Young people are key to the future of the rural sector, like the members of Handy Landys from Lincoln University who volunteer their time on farms in need of a hand.
